137 gets job in “Aryans Mega Job Fest"


· Ist Job fest of a region exclusively for Polytechnic Diploma Holders inaugurated by Additional Director, Technical Education Punjab

· Technical education Deptt. to allow institutes to start new industry integrated courses for 2012-13,says additional director, technical education Punjab

· Around 2 crore would be distributed to Vocational Training Institute for skill development programs in Punjab in 2012-13

· Technical Education Deptt. to target 1 lakh aspirants for JET entrance(for polytechnic course)

“Department of Technical Education ,Punjab would soon permit Technical Institutions to start industry integrated technical courses in which theoretical education would be imparted in institutes while skill based Technical Training would be imparted by industry. Before joining, students would get 100 % surety for placement from the concerned industry. These courses would be started within this coming academic session 2012-13 under AICTE guidelines. The online application for registration of both SKPs & institutions will open from 10.03.2012 to 10.04.2012 with AICTE.”

This is said by Mohanbeer Singh Sidhu, Additional Director, Deptt. of Technical Education & Industrial Training(DTE), Govt of Punjab ,while inaugurating the "Aryans Mega Job Fest” exclusively for Polytechnic Diploma holders organized by Aryans College of Engineering (ACE ) , today in its campus .Around 1156 candidates appeared in the selection process & Around 137 students finally got the placement in more than 25 companies. The final result would put on www.aryans.edu.in on Monday.

Dr.Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges said that around 25 companies i.e. Yamaha, Honda, Maruti Suzuki, Yark International, Sarb Power Pvt. Ltd, Sandeep Motors (Mahindra), Smart Media Technology, Dada Motors, Dyal Motors, LML, G-Tech, Solitaire Infosys, HCL, DPS Services, Job Tree, Sequence Meter Limited, Lasany, Advance Tech Pvt. Ltd. Participated in this job fest.

Sidhu further also said that in last financial year under Vocational Training Programme (VTP), Around Rs1.5 crore have been disbursed to the Vocational Training Institutes (VTI’s). Sidhu further added that till date 21,000 candidates have been trained under this programme & this year would plan to distribute Around Rs.2 crore for such courses. This would help in reducing the unemployment in the state. Sidhu further added that in Punjab this time the JET entrance test fees has been drastically reduced to just Rs.50 from Rs.1000.this time we are target that around 1 lakh candidates for JET Entrance.

Dr.Kataria further added that the group would target to provide jobs to around 2000 engineering ,1000 Polytechnic Diploma holders & 500 MBA students. For this we have started contacting the Companies those who have heavy manpower requirement in this current financial year.
